A great law firm website has to earn trust in seconds and make the next step effortless. For SCT Law, that meant trading a wall of text for a bolder, cleaner experience — one where the firm's expertise is felt visually, not just read. The result is a site that finally looks as capable as the team behind it.

Key Design Decisions
The core problem was heavy-text content creating a poor user experience, so the core decision was a bolder, modern layout that gives the firm's expertise room to breathe. We replaced dense paragraphs with a clear visual hierarchy: confident headlines, scannable sections, generous spacing, and purposeful contrast that guide the eye and signal authority before a word is read. Trust markers like credentials, areas of strength, and client proof sit at the moments visitors decide whether to reach out, reinforcing credibility without adding clutter. Conversion paths were built for low friction, with calls to action that match their context and a simple booking flow never more than 1 click away. The mobile-first build is tuned for the majority of users who search for legal help on their phones. Beneath the visual refresh, we restructured content around high-intent search queries, turning a single brochure-style site into multiple organic entry points, so the design that improves conversion today also gives SEO the structure it needs to grow.

Strategic Overview
Plenty of firms treat their website as a static brochure: a place to list services and hope the right people read far enough. We approached SCT Law's revamp as a growth asset instead. A website is one of the most important marketing channels a firm owns, and it only works when aesthetics, user experience, and real-world utility pull in the same direction. Our goal was to balance all three: a presence that looks distinctive, guides visitors easily, and turns high-intent traffic into qualified enquiries. By leading with clear visual communication of the firm's expertise and brand, we built a foundation that improves conversion now and gives SEO room to compound over time.
This is a conceptual design showcase created to illustrate how a modern, conversion-focused redesign can solve common UX and lead-generation challenges faced by law firms. It does not represent actual work performed for, or factual information about, any existing firm of a similar name.

JC Legal Event | Leading with Cultural Fluency: Women Leaders Navigating Cross-border Careers
JC Legal is a boutique, women-led law firm in Hong Kong with a quiet but distinctive point of view: cross-border careers are built by women who navigate cultures, languages, and self-doubt long before they ever sit in the corner office. Janice and her team wanted to host an intimate evening that brought that belief to life — not as a marketing message, but as a felt experience. The brief was simple to say and harder to do: gather 80 of the right people in one room, give them a real conversation worth their time, and have everyone walk out feeling closer to JC Legal without ever being sold to. DesignBFF was brought in to take this from a one-line idea to a fully produced evening, end-to-end. From concept and curation to copy, design, run-of-show, sponsor management, and on-the-night production.
